Hello ladies
I wanted to give you guys an update on where we are at on the shower. First of all we decided to push the shower back to 2:30 on the 26th. Hopefully this will give us some extra time to get there and get things prepared.
We have also decided to go with several small finger foods & dessert bar instead of bbq & a traditional cake.
With these changes comes a little more work but sound much better for a bridal shower not to mention tastier :-) I am planning to get there about 10AM to start preparing the food and desserts. If you could be there about that time to help it would be greatly appreciated. I understand a few of you will be coming in from outta town and have kiddos and understand if you cant be there that early. If you could just let me know what you plan on doing.
Here is our sample menu... this isn't final and are up for suggestions
Fruit kabob- watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, & pineapple
Chicken salad sandwiches- we will get the chicken salad from Chelsea's and do the sandwiches ourselves
Pasta salad- Britt's mom has offered to make this for us
broccoli & ranch dressing & sunflower seeds
deviled eggs- Britt's aunt will be making these
guacamole salad- Britt's Aunt
boudin dip
Dessert bar
Cupcakes made by our beautiful bride :-)
Gourmet marshmallows- britt's grandmother will be making these

mini pies
mini pretzels with m & m's and Hershey's kisses

chocolate peanut butter bars
Don't sweat about having to drag this stuff all over town with you, with the money we collect we will go and get everything we will need & just make it at the morning of the shower.
Again if you have something in mind for us to have at the shower let me know!
as far as drinks go we will be having your normal tea & soft drinks. we will also be having champagne punch & strawberry lemonade.
